The holidays are over, and we are all left with a bit of a “womp, womp” feeling mixed with a few extra pounds, blown budgets, and we are still in the middle of a global pandemic. 😭
With all of this, it can be a bit hard to keep with the traditional Happy New Year, and “new year, new me” mantras. But there are a few tiny things you can do to make yourself feel a bit more cheerful during these gloomy January days. Whether you get yourself dressed and head out for a walk, make yourself a cozy cup of tea, snuggle in with a good book, or finally binge watch that show you’ve been eyeing!
These little things can bring you a bit of comfort, normalcy, and make you feel more perky overall.
Personally, I am trying my hardest to stay out of the gloom , especially since having my second son just a few short weeks ago. Getting out for a walk, meeting with close friends, and sometimes even just getting dressed can make all the difference!
And even though all I wanted while I was pregnant was a smooth glass of whiskey over ice, I am keeping up with my tradition of Dry January (no drinking) which is a great way to cleanse your body- especially after the holidays.
Since I am taking part, my indulgence recently has been this homemade Vanilla London Fog Latte Recipe. I received a milk frother for the holidays, and I have been obsessed! Not only has it upped my latte game, I have learned how to perfect a homemade cold foam to top my chai lattes, and iced coffee- YUM.
But alas, I am trying to avoid caffeine as well as alcohol since I am breastfeeding. So my go to drink has been cup after cup of tea. It has helped keep me cozy as well as hydrated. But when I’m in the mood for more of a treat, these Vanilla London Fog Lattes with Torani Sugar Free Vanilla Syrup are my favorite!
I am so glad that Walmart carries some Torani products now- they are my favorite syrups to use in any drinks since they mix so easily and taste great! It’s so convenient to stop by to grab them, or add a couple bottles to my Walmart grocery pickup order. This way I’m saving money by making my drinks at home instead of stopping by a coffee shop or drive thru.
You’ll feel great using Torani’s line of products- they’re made with simple and thoughtfully sourced ingredients, are versatile, and so easy to use- you certainly don’t need to be a barista to create a delicious drink. Be sure to grab some next time you shop at Walmart to make this tasty drink as well as some classics or your own unique creations!
