I first made this craft when we couldn’t wait for the newest Toy Story movie to come out! I grew up watching all of the Toy Story movies, and I have already passed it down to my son. In preparation, we made these adorable Toy Story Slinky Dog Crafts!
Depending on your little one’s age, you may want to help them by cutting out all of the pieces of paper in advance, but they will all have a blast folding the strips of paper and creating their very own Dog Slinky craft.
Is this Toy Story Slinky Dog craft good for young kids?
In our case, my son was quite young the first time we (I) made them, and he proceeded to run around with it, until it met an unfortunate death in his water table. 😂
While this craft may look intimidating at first, it was actually super simple! And to make it even simpler on everyone involved, your younger kids can easily help put this Slinky dog craft together after you have cut out the pieces for them.
All you need for this dog slinky craft is a brown paper bag and a few small pieces of paper- things you probably already have on hand! If not, feel free to get creative and color different pieces of cardstock, cardboard, or any other paper you have around the house. We have used cereal boxes on many occasions, and the crafts we make usually hold up longer too!
