Who says cards and treats are just for Valentine’s Day? These adorable and easy to make St. Patrick’s Day treat cards will certainly stand out! Whether you or your children give them to friends or loved ones, they will brighten up someone’s day!
I remember making sure I wore every piece of green clothing to bed the night before St. Patrick’s Day for fear that the “little green men” would get me at the strike of midnight! No, it wasn’t planted there by mean older siblings or my parents, but a faint memory of a terrifying old fashioned leprechaun cartoon, haha!
But, oh, boy! Did my siblings and I get a kick out of pinching our dad every morning when he always “forgot” to wear green the night before. We would also prey on the youngest sibling who had no idea what was going on with gentle pinches and tickles!
Then, we would quickly switch from green pajamas to green sweaters and dresses, and head downstairs for our famous green pancakes and eggs (AKA, eggs and pancakes with an unhealthy amount of green food dye).
As we got older, the pinches got harder, the pancakes got more normal, and the memories were sweeter. I still remember passing out St. Patrick’s Day Treat Cards to my very best friends and teachers every year, and now I can’t wait to do the same with my kids!

How To Make Them:
- Gather at least 2 different shades of green craft paper and trace the patterns from template one. Template one includes 12 hearts – 4 large, 4 medium and 4 small hearts and a stem. Use a pencil to trace and use scissors to cut out the traced patterns. Fold all the heart patterns into half and then unfold them again.
- Prepare the card using a white cardstock. Take the large heart cut outs and apply glue along the fold line. Place the glued area on the card to attach the pattern. One by one glue all 4 heart patterns on 4 sides (by keeping the pointy edge towards the center.
- Now glue the medium hearts on the top of the large ones and then finally glue the small hearts on the top of the medium ones. Cut out 2 small pieces of cardstock papers and attach them at the back of the cloud pattern.
- Rainbow Treasure Hunt Card: Select and gather the colored craft papers for the rainbow treasure card and trace the patterns from template two. Carefully cut out the traced patterns.
- Cut out 4 small cardstock pieces and attach them at the back side of the cloud patterns.
- Glue the small cloud on the top of the large cloud and then glue the large cloud on the card. Take the rainbow cut outs and glue them on the card, right below the cloud pattern
- Take the pot patterns and fold the 3 extra sides twice. Apply small amount of glue on the outer folds.
- Glue the pot on the card, right below the rainbow. The pot should create a small pocket with the card, where you can place a chocolate coin. Or you can adjust the pot size according to the chocolate coin you have.
- take small square colored papers and write down a quote of your choice for St. Patrick’s Day. Cut out 2 small pieces from black craft paper.
- Attach the quote cut outs on the card. You may add borders around the sides of the cards if you want to.
- Place a chocolate coin inside the pot and glue a chocolate coin on the center of the 4 clover pattern to complete the treat cards.
