Mmmm…. So, I had only had one experience with wine before I got pregnant, and it was the worst experience of my life. Yes, I know most of you women out there are now gasping and cursing my name! But in my defense, my first sip of wine was the most dry red wine I could have tasted. I felt like I was dying! Every bit of moisture was taken from my mouth, I looked like Spongebob when he is out of water. 😉
But after I had my first baby, I had a reintroduction at a girls night out pole dancing class (different story), they had the most delicious sparkling peach wine! It was THIS kind of wine that made me see what the big deal is. So I got a big bottle of it and hiked my way over to my mother’s house (who is also not a fan of wine) and got a wee bit giggly together…. And, well? The rest is history and I’ve found my types of wine!
I am not much of a drinker except for a cocktail during social events- I mean, getting pregnant right after your 21st birthday and still nursing can do that to you. But when we had the genius idea of making this sparkling wine a float with a raspberry sorbet…. damn! It’s pretty darn good. Get the recipe below!
