Christmas is in the air! Okay, maybe not, but these schnapps soaked cherry bombs have me whistling Christmas carols and wishing is was snowing outside.
After being soaked in peppermint schnapps overnight, these cherry bombs are dipped in pure white chocolate, and rolled around in peppermint candy. The perfect treat for a holiday party, or an evening in front of the fire binge watching your new favorite show.
Take a peek below for the recipe to make these yourself!
Schnapps Soaked Cherry Bombs:
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Maraschino Cherries, with stem
- ½ Cup Peppermint Schnapps
- ¼ Cup White Chocolate
- 6 Peppermint Candies, crushed
Directions:
- Rinse the maraschino cherries, and place in a container with ½ cup peppermint schnapps. Cover and let soak overnight, or at least 4 hours. Shake the container several times.
- Drain the schnapps from the cherries, and gently pat then dry.
- Melt the white chocolate until creamy, add in a bit of coconut oil if needed.
- Dip each cherry into the white chocolate twice, and then drag the bottom through the crushed peppermint candy.
- Set on wax paper, and let the chocolate firm.
- Keep away from children, and enjoy!
