As many of you know, I have been following the KETO diet for quite a while now. And while I have learned to love many of the foods, it is still hard to resist temptation sometimes. The holiday season, and BBQ season are the hardest for me. I mean, on one hand you have cookies, pies, cocoa, and the other is all about cocktails, hamburgers, and sweets! While I know I can eat a bunless hamburger or a single hot dog, it just isn’t satisfying seeing everyone else with the complete package. That’s why I have started making these Sticky Asian BBQ Wings on the grill during our BBQs, and they are totally KETO friendly! Not only that, but I have made several other healthy swaps in this recipe like: Monkfruit sugar for brown sugar, low sodium soy sauce for regular soy sauce, and MazolaÂŽ Corn Oil for my usual olive oil. Remember, corn oil cannot always be a substitute for olive oil- make sure to check your recipes before making the swap! And for those of us not on KETO, this is still a great recipe- did you know a clinical study showed Mazola Corn Oil reduces cholesterol 2x more than extra virgin olive oil?! To learn more about this claim, see Mazola.com!

I have loved using Mazola Corn Oil recently! It is an all-purpose, cholesterol free cooking oil that is a smart heart-healthy choice for your family. See Mazola.com for more information on the relationship between corn oil and heart health. It has a variety of uses include baking, grilling, sautÊing, stir frying, or mixing up a marinade or dressing.
It also has a neutral taste that lets the natural flavor of your food stand out, and has a smoke point higher than most cooking oils at 450°F!
Nobody was even able to tell these wings were KETO, because all of the ingredients swapped out flawlessly. This recipe is sure to be my go to for years to come! What do you see yourself swapping out with a healthier version? Let me know in the comments!
KETO Sticky Asian BBQ Wings Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 4 pounds of bone in, skinless chicken wings
- 3/4 C. Mazola Corn Oil
- 1/2 C. Low Sodium Soy Sauce
- 1/3 C. Monkfruit Sugar, or to taste
- 1/3 C. Cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 Tbs. Minced Garlic
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 tsp. Paprika
- 1/2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
Directions:
- Wash and pat dry all of your chicken wings, and place them in a medium bowl.
- In a small mixing bowl, whisk together all of the other ingredients until fully incorporated.
- Taste to make sure you do not need more salt or sugar.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken, cover, and set in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. The longer you can let it rest, the better!
- Prepare your grill, and place a large piece of aluminum foil over the burner. Rub a thin layer of corn oil over the foil, and bring to temperature according to the type of grill you are using.
- Place all of your wings on the foil, and close the lid to cook.
- Grill your wings until they reach the temperature of 165.
- Serve immediately, and enjoy!
