With my first pregnancy, I’ll admit that I slacked in the oral care field. Morning sickness made it almost unbearable to brush my teeth, and some nights, I was just too exhausted to give a darn! But, around this time I also started to become aware of my super sensitive teeth, and I didn’t even do anything about it! Most of my cravings were of course cold things: Ice, ice pops, and frozen blueberries- and tooth sensitivity was not helping my case. That is, until my mom suggested I start using a toothpaste for sensitive teeth.
After picking up a box of Sensodyne Rapid Relief toothpaste, I noticed pain relief few days later*! I wasn’t expecting to feel such rapid relief so quickly, but most people who use it feel pain relief in 3 days when brushing twice a day*
But one thing I was not prepared for, was for the tooth sensitivity to stick around even when not giving into my pregnancy cravings of cold food! That’s why I have made sure to continue using Sensodyne Rapid Relief Whitening toothpaste twice daily- and I’m sure glad I did.
Now that this cold weather is coming around, I’ve started noticing sensitivity when I am eating hot soups, or sipping on pumpkin chai lattes. I honestly had no idea that heat sensitivity was a thing, so it was quite the surprise when some of my favorite things were once again being ruined by sensitivity.
But, after using Sensodyne Rapid Relief Whitening toothpaste again for a few weeks so far, I could hardly remember that any of these things had brought me pain. Plus, it has the added benefit of whitening! With the holiday season and chilly days ahead, I couldn’t be more glad that tooth sensitivity is a thing of my past! Now that I realize it affects me whether I’m enjoying my pregnancy cravings or not, and in every season, I won’t stop using it.
