Halloween is hands down one of my favorite times of the year! Everything in sight is creepy, crawly, and spoopy! 😜
This year, I will be hosting my first Halloween party EVER. So obviously I needed to try out a few recipes. From graveyard pudding, to rice krispy eyeballs, to these Hallowaiian S’mores- my little one and I are loving tasting them all. Check out even more spooky Hallowiian recipes & party tips HERE!
While it may seem weird at first, I loved experimenting with these Hallowaiian S’mores Halloween Treats. I have always had a love/hate relationship with traditional s’mores. I want the sticky goodness, but the graham crackers always seem to get in the way, and all of the chocolate and marshmallow squeezes out the edges. But not with these!
The already perfectly sweet King’s Hawaiian Rolls are just crispy enough around the edges, and get loaded with gooey marshmallow and your favorite Halloween candies. And since they are made in one pan using the oven, there is practically no mess, and no fire to deal with- score!
We almost always have King’s Hawaiian rolls and bread in the house. They make the perfect sides for soups, sandwich breads, and now have even made the perfect desserts. My personal favorite meal to make is using King’s Hawaiian bread to make these Crustless BBQ Pork Sandwiches– my little one absolutely loves them, and they freeze wonderfully.
Take a peek below to see how we made these Hallowaiian S’mores!
Hallowaiian S’mores
The Ingredients:
- King’s Hawaiian Original Rolls
- Large Marshmallows
- Halloween Candy (think nutty caramels, peanut butter chocolates, wafers, and more!)
- Chocolate and Caramel dipping sauces, optional
The Directions:
- Set your oven to broil, so it is preheating.
- Take a long, serrated knife, and slice your entire sheet of King’s Hawaiian rolls in half.
- Place a marshmallow on each roll, and place in the oven. Keep the oven cracked to keep an eye on the marshmallows so they are just starting to puff and get golden, You do NOT want them to burn!
- While your marshmallows are toasting, use the flat end of a knife or fork, and gently flatten/crush your Halloween candies.
- Place a piece of candy on each marshmallow, and return to the oven until the chocolates start to melt.
- Place the tops of the rolls back onto the s’mores, and return to the oven for an additional minute or so.
- Remove from the oven, and enjoy immediately with dipping sauces!
