My Husband and I are expecting our first child this December, and we could not be more excited! After months of “should we or shouldn’t we try” we decided to hold off. Of course, later that month I was waiting anxiously over the bathroom counter for my pregnancy test (which was taking years) to finish loading. And when it revealed the word Pregnant, I was ecstatic!
It was a complete whirlwind, really. Of course I had the brilliant idea to take the test 10 minutes before leaving for work in the morning, and my husband had already left for the day. With this news kept to myself for the next 10 or 12 hours, I knew I was going to go crazy!
So, to be completely honest, not much got done that day except searching for cute pregnancy reveals on Pinterest. 😉
My first task was to figure out how to tell Nikita (my hubby), and very soon after that, my parents! Now, I know pregnancy brain may or may not be a real thing, and probably wouldn’t have taken effect that quickly, but I still blame it anyways.
I left the printed card for Nikita on my desk that day and had nothing official to reveal my pregnancy to him. But, I was so excited, I tripped over my words to tell him and just held up my pregnancy test instead. That is definitely when things started feeling real.
I was very excited to tell my parents they were expecting their first grandchild, and wanted to make something they could keep. So I created this little board with clues and a coupon that was “good for one grandchild this winter.”
It took them just a few seconds before they broke into cheers and hugs.
I am so excited for everything to come in my pregnancy, and so excited to share it with my family, friends, and all of you. Can’t wait to keep you posted!
