Here in the Pacific Northwest, we get a TON of rain during spring. I mean, we are drenched all the time! This can make it especially hard to get outdoor work done or let your kids get energy out of their systems without a huge, wet, muddy mess. With all of this in mind, I try to have a ton of fun indoor activities ready to go when boredom strikes.
When the kids in your household range in age from 7 years old to 19, it can be hard to come up with ideas that will have everyone excited to play- but family competitions usually seem to be a crowd pleaser. So, after a quick trip to my local Walmart to pick up a few cartons of Pepperidge Farm® Goldfish® crackers, I started putting together one of the most simple family game nights. You can get Goldfish crackers 30 oz. Cartons on Rollback for $6.46 right now, in store only!! This shopping trip, we got the Goldfish crackers Cheddar and Goldfish crackers Colors.
Family game night and playing together is so important. Not only does it help you bond with your children, but it can show them to be a good sport whether they win or lose, and promotes a positive, family-focused and active lifestyle.
I love using Goldfish crackers for DIY games and activities because they are so versatile, the kids love them because they get to eat them all after we are done. 😉 In the past, we have used Goldfish crackers for bingo or tic-tac-toe, but this time we are thinking outside of the box and will be playing Goldfish Cracker Sketch-O-Rama! Look below to see how we played!
Goldfish Cracker Sketch-O-Rama:
You Will Need:
- Goldfish crackers
- 2×3 Strips Of Paper
- Marker or Pen
- Bowl To Hold Paper
- Score Keeping Sheet
How To Play:
- Write down different names of objects, things, places, or anything else you want to include on the strips of paper. Fold, and place them all in the bowl.
- Divide your family members into two teams, and choose one player on each team to “sketch” first.
- One of the sketchers will draw a slip of paper, and both sketchers will look at it.
- Go to your own teams, and start “sketching!” The first team to guess the word wins.
Team “Bob McPickleman” wins in our house tonight! Have a ton of creative fun with your family! For more game time inspiration with Goldfish crackers, click here.
