Cirque Du Soleil Crystal- The First Cirque On Ice!

I have been to one Cirque du Soleil show before and my breath was absolutely taken away! With all of the intricate stuns that had you on the the edge of your seat, I didn’t think it could get any more beautiful or daring. Well, I was wrong! Because for the first time ever, they have brought a Cirque show to ice! If you thought these amazing death defying stunts are already amazing, try kicking it up a notch and adding ice beneath them and the razor sharp blades of ice skates.
While the last show I went to had the traditional tent and ring, they didn’t miss adding the magic into Crystal with a bright, detailed set complete with lights and even snow.
You would have never guessed that half of the cast had learned how to ice skate specifically for this show since they all looked like they have skated their entire life! But, many of the performers are professional acrobats that had to learn ice skating, and they had many professional Olympian ice skaters that had to learn a bit of acrobatic skills. I could never imaging just “picking it up” the way they did!
During the two-hour performance, you will see juggling, trapeze, and of course, live music all while Crystal goes through a magical journey within her imagination after falling through a frozen pond. This was the first performance my husband had gone to and he was so zoned in. Even my 4 month old loved seeing the skaters, lights, and hearing the music. It is truly a show for everyone of all ages!
