Vodka. Chocolate. Whipped Cream. How much better can it get over here? And I promise, it doesn’t have to be your birthday to make this ice cold, frothy, boozy chocolate birthday cake martini!
Now that my boobs have pretty much given up on producing milk for my little one, I have finally indulged in a cocktail (or two) which I haven’t done much of since he was nursing like- all. the. damn. time. I was always paranoid about giving my son a “boozy boob” and messing up his growth, so I wouldn’t have a cocktail unless I had worked for hours to pump a bottle for the occasion, or if I knew he was going to sleep 4 hours straight. But since that whole sleeping 4 hours straight only lasted a few weeks, cocktails were very, very short lived.
Don’t get me wrong, nursing was amazing quality time- and still is when we try, but it was so much work- more work than it is for most moms. And the outcome just wasn’t cutting it. So…. chocolate and booze to heal the hurt of not exclusively breastfeeding it is! 😉 Get the recipe below!
