Quarantine has been different for people all over the country. Some people were looking forward to resting at home, while others were panicked about keeping kids busy. After a few weeks into the quarantine, there’s a good chance everyone in your home is bored out of their minds. Thankfully, there are things you can do to beat boredom. Let’s look at things to do at home during quarantine.
Play Games with Your Family
My family got this really cool Projex game (a projected arcade game). I recommend this game because it is really easy to set up and put away. Plus, they have several levels and different games on each level. You can take this outside or play inside and have them project on your walls. This game is a fun way to be interactive with your family rather than just binging out on a screen. My siblings and I enjoyed it much more outside at night because we had more room to run around.

Declutter and Purge
Being stuck in quarantine gives you all the time in the world to clean that room or do the laundry you have been putting off for weeks. This is the time to finally get rid of anything you haven’t used in years and make space. Go through all your clothes and get rid of anything you don’t like or want. You can also go through your shoes, old make up, cable wires that don’t work and just about everything else in my room. It feels so awesome to declutter and it’s definitely worth it!
Get Organized
If you decluttered your room, the next step is to organize everything! You can organize your make up, shoes, books, anything on your desk, your bed…you can even organize all the furniture in your room and move them all around! It can take a long time which keeps you busy during the quarantine. Also, once you’re done, it gives you a great sense of accomplishment, so you feel like you’ve been productive.
Watch Movies
Watching movies is a really great way to pass time and just unwind with your family. If you have Netflix or Disney+, they release new shows/movies on a weekly basis and a lot of them are really good. If you have cable, a lot of channels do movie marathons on weekends, so you can just binge out a bunch of movies and make snacks!
Do a DIY Project
Last, but not least, tackle some of the projects on your list. Paint your bedroom. Fix that leaky faucet. Put down mulch in your flower beds. The best place to find cool and creative things to do is Pinterest. You can find crafts, home improvement ideas and much more. This is the time to let your creative side out!
There are so many things to do at home during quarantine. If you catch yourself feeling bored, snap out of it and do something. Right now, you have so much time to do stuff that you wouldn’t normally have time for. Enjoy it and use it as a reason to do something productive, or to be lazy & have fun with the family!
