These air fryer bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers are to die for! I recently got a new air fryer, and have been testing out new recipes like crazy. My favorites so far? Air fryer mac and cheese balls, savory air fryer cream cheese cakes, loaded totchos from Whisky + Sunshine, and these!
I didn’t truly believe you could get a golden color or a true crisp without frying in oil. But my air fryer has completely changed my mind! And just thinking about all the oil I am cutting out of my diet is great.
I was never one to fry many things in oil before, but now that I have an alternative, I will be making some of my favorite dishes more often. AND they will be healthier than ever. Grab the recipe for these air fryer bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers below!
Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Poppers
The Ingredients:
- 6 large jalapeno peppers
- 6 slices of raw bacon, cut in half
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese of your choice (I used Cheddar and a 4 Italian cheese mix)
- 1 cup cooked and shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup softened cream cheese
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
The Directions:
- In a small bowl, add shredded cheese, chicken, cream cheese, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly
- Slice jalapenos lengthwise and remove the seeds.
- Using a small spoon, fill each jalapeno with the chicken mixture.
- Wrap each jalapeno with one piece of raw bacon
- Lay your jalapenos in an even layer on a plate or cutting board. Place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes.
- Pre-heat Air Fryer at 375 for 2 minutes.
- Remove the jalapenos from the freezer and lay your jalapenos in an even layer in your Air Fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, depending on the size and thickness of your jalapenos. (I would check on them at about 8 minutes and see how they look and go from there.)
